A 535 cc air-cooled engine capable of producing a peak power of 29.1 bhp powers the bike, which is considered one of the most powerful beasts around at present. The bike is equipped with Keihin electronic fuel injection. One of the most potent bikes in India, the Continental GT is fitted with a five-speed gearbox and the Unit Construction Engine (UCE) technology of Enfield. Although the makers claim that the bike offers an ARAI certified fuel economy of 41.9 kmpl, in reality it returns a lesser mileage of 35 kmpl only.

Some of the highly desirable features offered in the bike include twin down-tube cradle frame chassis, telescopic front forks, Paioli gas charged twin shock absorbers at the rear, Brembo floating disc brakes, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres, alloy wheels and much more. It comes with electric start option, in addition to the traditional kick-start option.
