Is NCP-NS the Right Fit for You?
This certification is ideal if you already have a solid foundation in networking or security.
You’re a strong candidate if you bring:
- At least 2 years of networking or security experience
- Around 6 months of hands-on work with Nutanix Flow
It’s particularly suited for Network Engineers, Architects, and Security Administrators who handle real-world deployments, operations, and troubleshooting. While the Nutanix Network & Security Administration (NNSA) course is recommended, it’s not mandatory.
What the Exam Covers
The NCP-NS exam is built around practical, real-world scenarios. It tests your ability to manage, secure, and optimize environments across five key areas:
1. Flow Virtual Networking Configuration
Learn to build and manage virtual networks by creating VPCs, defining overlays, setting routes, and configuring NAT/No-NAT connectivity. You’ll also work with BGP, load balancing, and policy-based routing to ensure smooth and secure traffic flow.
2. Flow Network Security Setup
Understand application traffic patterns, use monitoring tools to capture flows, and turn insights into effective security policies. This includes implementing isolation rules, VDI policies, AD integration, and enabling visibility tools like syslog and service insertion.
3. Day-2 Network Operations
Keep networks running efficiently by validating connectivity, monitoring BGP and gateway health, and analyzing alerts and IPFIX data to maintain performance and stability.
4. Troubleshooting Security Issues
Diagnose and resolve problems by reviewing logs, checking policy conflicts, verifying configurations, and addressing issues like MTU mismatches or service disruptions.
5. Deployment & Upgrades
Prepare environments for Flow deployment, ensure compatibility, configure segmentation, manage upgrades, and implement role-based access control (RBAC) with precision.
Book Your Exam Now
The NCP-NS 7.5 exam is open for scheduling, with slots available starting April 4, 2026. You can choose between:
- Remote online proctoring
- In-person testing at PSI centers

Prepare with the NNSA Course
If you want to boost your confidence before the exam, the Nutanix Network and Security Administration (NNSA) course is a great starting point.
This training helps you:
- Set up and deploy Nutanix Flow environments
- Configure VPCs, BGP sessions, and security policies
- Manage access using RBAC
- Identify and troubleshoot common networking and security issues
Why It Matters
With cyber threats increasing and infrastructure becoming more distributed, professionals who can implement network segmentation, enforce zero-trust, and maintain resilient hybrid connectivity are in high demand.
The NCP-NS certification directly reflects these real-world responsibilities—making it a valuable credential for anyone working with modern cloud networking and security.
