For the last ten years I have been gaining weight lot crazy and finally decided to do something about it. When I first began my diet I was doing okay but would have lots of ups and downs along the way. Some days I would stick to it and other days I would give in to temptation and eat junk food.

I first joined a Facebook group to help me be more accountable which did help some but many of the people in the group are not very disciplined themselves so it was easy for me to give in and not follow through. Then a friend of mine suggested that I try working with an online life coach and so I went out to try and find one.

After a few weeks of research I found this amazing women who has been through a very similar situation as me and has been an amazing help. Not only does she help keep me motivated, but more importantly, she understands all the subtle nuances of why I have been giving in to temptation so easily.

What she explained to me was that it is very important that I spend some time first thing in the morning to prime and condition my mind for that day. That I basically needed to “feed my mind” with healthy and positive words that would boost my morale. So she began sending me a list of quotes and affirmations I could use to read every morning and since I started them I have seen a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm.

I now read these every morning for about ten minutes and it really helps me to kickstart my day with the right mindset. Here are some of my favorite ones she shared with me:

I am motivated to lose weight and become healthy

I am transforming into someone who exercises regularly

I believe in my ability to lose weight and keep it off

I visualize my ideal body and take action to make it happen

We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained

The distance between who am I am and who I want to be is only separated by what I do!”
